The basketball Bulldogs do it again. The girls basketball team is on fire so far with a 5-1 record. The Bulldogs take on Forge Christian Fury. The opening of this game the Bulldogs had already sent home. They had complete aggression over the ball playing the hoop all of the first quarter. The Bulldogs ended the first quarter with the score being 14-3. The second quarter was no different for the Bulldogs. There was complete dominance by Palisade defense was on fire. Remarkable rebounds and playing aggressive while defending the net. The second quarter ended 26-8 with the Bulldogs controlling the first half.
The second half started with a tough battle between the teams. But it wasn’t a problem against the Palisade defense; the third quarter ended 33-14. The Bulldogs wanted to end with a big bang and they did. The Dogs dropped fourteen points in the 4th quarter which allowed them to bring the win home. The game ending score 47-20. We interviewed the players on the team and the two players they said that stood out the most were senior Chloe Simons and freshmen Mady Bavor. The combined points these two put on the board was a total of 29 points. They showed aggression and leadership all over the court. “Mady played amazing, I’m very proud of her” Said by junior Addie Ritterbush. The Bulldogs definitely show up and are ready to play this season; they are currently first in the 5A Western Slope Conference. “I am very confident in the team this year. We have many outstanding players. The coaching is amazing. Overall I am just very confident for this season” said Addie Ritterbush. We are proud of the dogs for securing this awesome win. The Dogs take on the Junction Tigers this Thursday, December 14th. Lets go Bulldogs!
