Through the Seasons: PHS Underclassmen Compete for Homecoming Court

Palisade High School’s vibrant atmosphere is gearing up for a seasonal transformation as homecoming approaches. This year’s theme, Through the Seasons, promises a burst of excitement, and among the contenders for homecoming court, a spirited group of underclassmen are competing for your votes to represent their grades in this year’s celebration.
Freshman Nominees:
Meet Bella Fenske, a confident freshman with a competitive edge. Running alongside her sister Zoe, Bella brings her unique sense of humor to the campaign: “I am different than other candidates because I am running with my sister, and I am super funny and a competitive athlete.”
Jace Carter, a fun-loving freshman with a great sense of humor, believes in making homecoming week an exciting experience for all. His laid-back and easygoing personality makes him a favorite among his classmates.
Maddie Baever, a vibrant and music-loving freshman, is known for her boundless energy and unwavering commitment to school spirit. Her passion for the school reflects her dedication to making homecoming week memorable for everyone.
Violet Welker is a cheerful and outgoing freshman who effortlessly connects with her peers. Her enthusiasm for homecoming stems from her desire to showcase the excitement and camaraderie of the freshmen class.
Maylin Hein’s dedication to school spirit shines through her commitment to making homecoming week unforgettable. She brings a large amount of the PHS spirit we know and love to the homecoming scene.
Lilliana Dickenson believes that homecoming should spotlight the greatness of the freshman class. She is sure to bring a new air of excitement to the event.

Sophomore Nominees:
MacKenzie Gray, a sophomore known for her intelligent and approachable demeanor, radiates school spirit. She is committed to being a great representative for the sophomore girls and encourages everyone to embrace the excitement of homecoming.

Kairi Richardson is not only a passionate advocate for school spirit but also showcases her unique talent as an accomplished pianist: “I can play the Twilight theme with my eyes closed. Can they do that? I don’t think so.”

Mason Burke is a fun-loving, charismatic candidate who believes his down-to-earth nature sets him apart from the others: “I’m different from other nominees because I’m very down-to-earth and involved with the school’s culture.”

Claire Powell decided to run for fun this year and aims to make homecoming week a celebration of the sophomores: “I’m different because I’m just running for fun, and I want homecoming week to be all about how awesome the sophomores are.”

Willow Philliou embraces the idea of trying, emphasizing that her primary goal is to participate and leave high school without regrets: “I really just want to be in the running, I’m leaving the rest up to fate so do as you please.”

These underclassmen running for homecoming court embody the essence of PHS and the excitement surrounding this year’s theme, through the Seasons.
