We are starting to vote for homecoming royalty this week. The stakes are high, and many are persuading others to vote for them. We vote a king and queen for underclassmen and upperclassmen. Here are some things popular nominees had to say.
Chandelle Hatch, a popular nominee, stated, “For homecoming, I’m most excited for the homecoming game. Because everyone gets so excited for it and everyone is pumped up.” To her homecoming royalty is something she used to get herself out in the open. “I haven’t really done anything so far in high school, and I wanted to get myself out there.” She doesn’t really know what she will do if she wins. “I would probably just thank a bunch of people, I don’t really know yet. I’ve been making posters so hopefully people will vote.” Joseph Zambrano, a junior and popular nominee, stated, “For homecoming, I’m most excited to hang out with my friends. A lot of memories are made during homecoming week and I’m excited to make new memories.” For Joseph, he wanted to do homecoming royalty this year because most people do it senior year, and he wanted to be ahead of the game. “Yeah, I wanted to get a head start on royalty and I thought that I might as well do it this year.” If he wins, he plans on contributing to the community. “If I win, I won’t just keep the royalty to myself. I’ll share it with my friends, I won’t be selfish with it.”
Good luck on those who are hoping to win. Make sure you vote for homecoming royalty here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScz_CafVlu-kYCVUmVPw4hpy4ufXQi4JeIcWVKa5RaH7_wOkA/viewform
