It’s that time of year where students get excited for another Palisade High School Musical, but this time in the winter. Students who are interested in auditioning for this amazing musical will find everything they need to know right here.
Most of what you will find for White Christmas auditions can be found down the music hall on bulletin boards near the choir room. So how do you audition? Teagan Brannan, a Junior here at PHS, answered this by saying, “We have one last audition prep, which is Thursday the 24th.” Audition preps aren’t required, it is just so that you can practice before your actual audition. “You have a song that you prep and then perform.” Simple, right? Regyn Coolbaugh, a sophomore here at PHS added, “You can perform either on the 29th or 30th and callbacks are on the 31st.” Teagan stated, “If you get a callback then you will get a sheet and you will go in again. If you don’t, that doesn’t mean you don’t get in, it just means that they haven’t decided yet.” The song that you prep and perform can be found in a google classroom that you join by using a code, which can be found on one of the bulletin boards.
Alivia Sanchez is a senior here at Palisade High School and the president of the Thespian Society. She said, “Even if you are a little bit nervous just do it, because it will give you such a good experience and there is nothing to lose.” Teagan added, “A lot of people find it intimidating to come and perform on stage, but honestly it is just an amazing environment where you can express yourself and have so much fun.” Regyn finished, “It is such a close and fun group of people that it is not like any other experience you are going to get in high school.” So come on down and audition for an outstanding and unforgettable musical!
