Palisade Senior, Vincent Johnston, is this week’s male Athlete of the Week brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. Johnston is a Senior here at Palisade that has been playing football for 6 years and has been playing for Palisade all four years of his high school career. Johnston plays guard and defensive tackle, and has been applying each of his skills every time he goes onto the field. “My dad got me started in football, he was a coach for a long time and he would always bring me around practices and on trips, states Johnston. Johnston has been a very strong pillar on the team, being an encouragement and a great friend to all of his teammates. “I bring energy to the offensive line”, mentions Johnston. Outside of football and school, Johnston enjoys golfing and snowboarding.
Johnston has had a lot of amazing accomplishments and has made wonderful memories here at Palisade. Johnston mentions, “My biggest accomplishment is being 2x WSL lineman of the year”. Johnston will carry these accomplishments with him throughout his life. Johnston has had many supporters to help guide him through his high school career and states, “My biggest inspiration is my dad”. Johnston is very grateful for the love and support that his dad has shown him through his football career.
