This Softball season has quickly come to an end for Palisade High School placing fourth in Grand Junction rankings. We congratulate Palisade’s varsity team as they have completed this season with an overall score of 14-11. The season had many great plays, lots of wins, as well as hard games that brought the team together. In a recent interview Freshman Lexi Trottier, a member of the softball team with an impressive batting average of 0.464, and four home runs highlighted one of the difficulties the team faced this season, as well as how the season went in her opinion.“One challenge I think that the team had to overcome was when we had a double header against Fruita on our Senior night because we lost the first game, but shortly came back the second game and won.” Trottier then goes on to say, “I think the season went well, it could have gone better, but I think we can work more on improving during our practices next season.” Overall, Trottier and her team faced many hard games, and had many struggles this season, but it is safe to say everyone pulled through with the support of family, coaches, peers, and most importantly, Palisade Spirit. The 2025-2026 team of strong leaders and amazing players are ready to face next season, and bring Palisade a win next year. Palisade High School wants all softball players to know that we can’t wait to see them again next year out on the field. GO DOGS!
