Seniors
Palisade played an awesome game against Junction, only conceding a goal to a PK in the first half, then three other goals in the second half, ending the game 4-0. Palisade’s team has seven Senior varsity starters and nine total Seniors. Varsity Senior Andrew Dady says, “I’m obviously very sad that I will never get to play high school soccer with these boys again, but most importantly, happy about all the things we achieved over the years.” This reveals that Seniors are not the happiest people when it comes to never playing high school soccer again, but are happy with all the good memories and fun times they had. Sophomore Huxley Peak says, “ It makes me sad because most of the Seniors are my best friends, they take me to practice, take me home, and hang out with me for lunch.” When Peak said this, it explained to us that seniors are more than just teammates and soccer players, they are friends who we spend time with and people who help us when we need it. Peak also said, “Basically, all of my teammates are Seniors and I will miss them next year.” When Peak said this, he explained that the team will be very different without all the Seniors next year. Dady also said, “My favorite memories were when I scored against Central and beating Eagle Valley Junior year.” Dady saying this revealed to us that throughout the four years of high school, seniors have had a good time and made many memorable memories. The Bulldogs are playing Battle Mountain on the 30th for the playoffs. It is the first time Palisade has made the playoffs in a really long time.
