TICK TICK BOOM the volleyball team spikes Grand Junction High School away with a 3-1 win. It was an ecstatic night for the Bulldogs with a loud gym and it was a very intense fun game to watch with a packed student section. It was filled with students families and fans who brought a lot of Bulldog energy.
This wasn’t just any game it was the Bulldog’s Homecoming game, and the stakes were high. Pressure was on the volleyball team with people chanting from both sides of the court and seeing the Junction volleyball team. The Bulldog’s student section came out strong and fueled the volleyball team with loud chants. Compared to the Tigers who only had their other volleyball team and some parents as their student section.
Junior Lizzie Snover reflected her opinion after the game. “We did really good because statistically, Junction has a lot of taller players. The Bulldogs did not let the height of Grand Junctions volleyball team bring them down. Snover also said, ”I focused on my energy, and when I made a mistake, I worked on fixing it.” And it good to see how a player can not let one mistake ruin the whole game. Junior Bella Fenskey added, “It was really energetic. I focused on being a good teammate and controlling what I could control.” Being selfless is good when it comes to a good team like Junction.
The Bulldogs didn’t just play hard, they played smart and as a team. The bulldogs proved they could rise to the occasion with teamwork, effor and selflessness.
