Male Futures Student of the Week

Congratulations to Daymien Kubisiak for being this week’s Futures Student of the Week. Kubisiak’s hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed, Officer Greg Birely, his teacher in Palisades Pre Peace Officer Academy had this to say when asked why he chose Kubisiak for this week’s title, “Because he spoke in class more than once” this illustrates Kubisiak’s academic drive to constantly stay engaged and better his chances at a career that isn’t for the light hearted. For those who may not know or heard of the Pre Peace Officer Academy, it is a class here at Palisade that goes through almost everything you would learn at the police academy, but tailored for high school students. Kubisiak’s success stems from “Our great teacher Officer Birely, he helps us learn and gives us good advice and what to do with our future’s”. This shows that it’s not always just an individual that sets themselves up for success, it is the support of a mentor or in this case a teacher that allows for people to succeed to the best of their ability. When asked about his definition of success Kubisiak responded “Always persevering and having good grit to be motivated and continue working hard”, the skills Kubisiak learned in this class that he feels can be applied in any aspect of life are, “How to save lives and I think I can use that in the future”, Kubisiak’s drive to be successful is an inspiration to many to come and creates a standard of a strong work ethic, and with an eagerness to learn, anything is possible for Kubisiak.
