
Dylon Larson, a Senior at Palisade High School, gets nominated as Athlete of the Week. Larson plays football for PHS, does track for PHS, and plays baseball for PHS. After being nominated Larson states, “It’s pretty exciting to have an opportunity to be the Athlete of the Week, hopefully more to come through the year”.Larson is a known athlete at Palisade and is known for always being at the top of his game. Larson plays as a running back and has had two touchdowns so far into the season. With a promising start to the PHS football team it seems Larson is a key player in the team being that Larson is in the half of the leader boards for Max Preps. Not only is Larson good on the field he is also good academically by keeping up with school while playing sports. Larson states “I have a routine that I stick to and I don’t really deviate from it”. Larson has built his reputation as a student athlete since his Freshman year and is known for being an outstanding and hard working player. Larson dedicates his time to playing sports and building his career with the help of sports. After being asked how sports contribute to his future, Larson said, “Sports have always been a big part of my life and they help me push my own limits and know just how far I can go mentally and physically, they have opened new doors and opportunities for me as a person with playing as well as even being able to continue to play sports after high school”. His Athlete of the Week award is a reflection on Larson’s success as an athlete and his dedication that he has for sports. Larson’s leadership and talents are qualities that are being recognized with the award.
