Stuco Meeting
Stuco is the community that makes up a part of Palisade High School. Without Stuco, we wouldn’t have any cool dances like the Color Dance, Homecoming, or Prom, and all the assemblies that let us know about all of the school activities. Stuco organizes school spirit, activities, and provides a voice for the student body to the administration. They work with teachers to make sure the schedules work out, they handle supplies, and they are always reminding people to join in and show school spirit. Without Stuco, we wouldn’t have half the traditions we look forward to during Homecoming and other school functions. October 4th is going to be our first dance of the year. With so many hints this month, leading to the theme of the Homecoming dance, which is Circus Soiree. Stuco is working hard to prepare for the week before the Homecoming dance.
After interviewing Senior Lyla Lancaster, who is a part of stuco, she shared what stuco is currently doing, “We have been meeting in Adhawks, which is the overall week of dance committee, spirit committee, royalty, and parade.” This is all preparation for Homecoming week. Stuco does so much for this school, and most people don’t realize how much effort they put in behind the scenes, but it’s not just for Homecoming, but for all of the school activities. Here at Palisade, we take Homecoming very seriously and not just that day but the whole week. Stuco works so hard to make sure all the school functions are enjoyable for all students. Stuco’s not just students planning events, but building the school pride and making memories for everyone.
