The Bulldogs are ready to steal the show, starting the pre-season early with their latest Fall ball team. The team will travel and play in competitive tournaments in Denver, four weekends out of September and October. “This is a great opportunity to grow as a team and learn to play even better with each other before the season starts”, Freshman player Madi Ellison claimed. The team features a great quantity of young talent. There are a total of 10 players, with 6 underclassmen. While there is tons of young talent, the team has an abundance of older talent as well. Speaking of dedication, team practices are held at 6 a.m Tuesdays and Thursdays, with an optional shoot around Friday mornings. Ellison states, “I enjoy the practices, especially connecting with the upperclassmen.” Freshman player Carly Roden also stated, “The practices have helped gear us toward the tournaments by training us to communicate and work as a team.” When asked what they feel like their team is doing well Ellison was quick to state, “Our court vision and passes are phenomenal, we read each other very well.”
The Bulldogs have been working for about 3 weeks now, with their first tournament being this weekend. Roden and Ellison are thrilled. They both feel the team is prepared to go into the weekend. “We have been working alot on our shooting, and running alot of our plays.” Ellison added. One thing Palisade basketball is known for, is their welcoming environment. Ellison credited the players of the team for being “Very welcoming.” Who’s ready to watch the Bulldogs ignite?
