The outside of the Prom venue.
This year, Palisade students traveled under the sea for their long awaited Prom night. Full of dancing, food, dresses, and fun, this dance is very special to many students and one of their most favorite events during the school year.
Put on annually by Palisade’s Student Council (StuCo), the event was one to remember. With dazzling decorations and vibrant colors, it felt like you were drifting down under the sea. The colorful jellyfish accented the dance floor, making the dance feel even more magical. Upperclassmen, along with underclassmen who were invited, danced the night away with friends and partners. Held at Mountain View Farm, the beautiful venue made the perfect night for all students. Considering last year’s rainy weather, the sunny and warm weather this year made the dance even more better and memorable. “The decorations were really good,” says junior StuCo member Lyla Lancaster, “the jellyfish were my favorite.” Lancaster was in charge of Prom along with junior Zoey Smith. The pair wanted to make sure the dance was successful so everyone could enjoy it. Their efforts put into the dance have made a lasting impression and next year’s Prom leaders will have to step it up in order to compete. Gracie Orton is a senior and says the dance is one of the events she will remember most from her senior year. “It was fun, the music was good. It was overall just a really energetic and fun environment. The decorations were well put together and made the dance.” Thank you StuCo for making this Prom one to be remembered!
