Leo Zhu with an egg.
When asked who the smartest person in all history is, some people might say Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, and Galileo Galilei. My answer every time would be Leo Zhu. Leo Zhu is a sophomore at Palisade high school and is chosen as this week’s student of the week. Zhu is in the IB program at Palisade and he is also in the club FBLA ( Future Business Leaders of America). Zhu stated: “ I am very honored to be the first student of the week. My mentality to stay successful in my academics is to never stop working and staying on the grind.” As a sophomore, Zhu is in calculus and psychology as well as taking part in the IB program. As a freshman, Zhu took AP Human Geography and was in FBLA as well as multiple other hard classes. This year, Zhu participates in multiple extracurriculars at Palisade high school including FBLA for the second year in a row, and played soccer for the Palisade boys team. With all this work he has, Zhu still manages to keep a unweighted 4.0 GPA. In FBLA, Zhu is a model student and helps lead the meetings even though he is a sophomore. Zhu said: “ I got to tribute my success in my academics to my mentality to never stop working.” Mr. Mccutcheon, who is a math teacher at Palisade high school stated: “ I have never had Leo in any of my classes but I have heard about him and how smart he is. I have heard other teachers even talk about how smart he is.” Zhu continues to exceed expectations in his academics and extracurricular activities and impress his peers and teachers. Congratulations Leo Zhu on student of the week!
