Junior Lyla Lancaster dominating Tuesday's game against the Tigers.
On Tuesday January 21st, Palisade Bulldogs Girls Varsity Basketball puts Grand Junction Tigers in a cage. It was a very close call with the score being 39-30 as a final result. There was so much tension between the two teams because both wanted this win very badly. The stands were packed and the energy was great coming from our Bulldog supporters. The game had two returners because they were injured, Senior Kyra Birch and Junior Sadie Bunker. Sophomore Gracie Cooper says, “I feel like we played well, we definitely played the best to our best ability that night. I think everyone on the team gave either their best effort and tried really hard to get this win. It definitely was a tough game Grand Junction is definitely a tough opponent and have been but I feel like we did deserve the win. What went well was how we were able to communicate and come together as a team to preform how we did. Our defense I’m really proud of because that’s really what we have been needing to work on. I feel as a team we can definitely improve on more support on the bench because on the court its really there.” Sophomore Mady Bavor states, “ I feel really good about how we played last night, it was stressful at some moments but we kept our team together. Grand Junction is a very good and hard team to play so we just had to keep calm and not let the pressure get to us. Overall it was a very good game between us and I’m happy how it ended.” Go support you fellow Bulldogs for more information about games on our website!
