Francisco Martinez on the ski lift at Powderhorn Ski Resort
Powderhorn Ski resort continues another great season with plenty of joy to last. Many others have expected this season to go well and plan to make the most out of it. Powderhorn opened on November twenty fourth, and will hopefully carry into April fourteenth of the 24-25 season. People are extremely excited to hit the slopes and go on their favorite run. As I interviewed Talan Despain and Canton Mosley, they both stated: “I really hope and think that this season is gonna be great and hopefully works out for everyone”. Despain also commented, “My favorite run is probably the West end runs it honestly brings a sense of comfort”. Many studies have shown that snowboarding and skiing helps with self-esteem, pure confidence, and a sense of calmness. Mosley also said, “ I feel likeIi’m really gonna improve and get better while working my hardest.” Powderhorn has many opportunities from beginners to experts, of all ages. They offer over 54 runs accessible to everyone, and over a total of 1600 acres of land to cover throughout the gigantic mountain. Day passes and seasonal passes range from $50-$99 dollars and seasonal passes range from $300-$550 dollars, allowing a wider spectrum for different ages and different passes. “A little while back the snow was a little rough, but I think Powderhorn really covered for it and made it a lot better” says DeSpain. Powderhorn is always a great place to go to have a great time by yourself or with your friends or even family. Thank you powderhorn!
