Every month a teacher is recognized with an award known as ‘The Golden Apple’ for good leadership and teaching. Teachers are selected to earn this award through the whole District 51, the award is given by KREX News. Coach D contributes to coaching football and lacrosse and is a liaison for PHS. He is a great member here at Palisade High School that is known and loved. No matter what, Coach is always helping students and always from his heart. Coach D. states, “ I was very surprised when I won this award but am truly grateful. I love working here, this is my ninth year working at Palisade. My favorite part about working here is you guys, working with the students and the community around me. Watching the students grow and become truly amazing people is just an experience I will never forget, seeing them from freshman to seniors. On Monday December 2th, their was an assembly surprising Coach D for his trophy. Member Dalen Brazelton from KREX News came to PHS to present the award and congratulate him. Congratulations Coach D. for the award, we appreciate you!
