Palisade Senior, Keden Everett, is this week’s male Athlete of the Week brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. Everett is a Senior here at Palisade and has been playing football for thirteen years. Everett plays football as a defensive end and a tight end, and also does track and field. One of the many things that Everett displays is his love for football. Everett states, “My brother was always a big influence on what I did and when I’d watch him play that’s when I knew I wanted to play it too”. Alongside his sports, Everett enjoys snowboarding and being outdoors in general. Everett has put much effort and dedication onto the field whenever he goes out to practice, which resembles the hard work that has paid off in the years that he has played for Palisade. “ I bring experience, love, and passion to the game of football to my team”, mentions Everett, “ My biggest accomplishment was probably being able to start my Varsity career my Sophomore year”. Everett has worked through each obstacle that has come his way, to keep doing what he loves.
Everett has been making his years at Palisade resemble his determination and passion for football, as being a student athlete is not always easy. With the help from Everett’s coaches, teammates, and friends Everett has not found it hard to have those characteristics. “My biggest inspiration is my mom, because she is probably one of the hardest working people I know”, states Everett. Everett also mentions, “My favorite thing about the sport is probably the family I’ve created through football”.
Everett’s hard work, determination, and passion for football is definitely something that students here at Palisade High School will remember for years to come. Everett has made many bonds and relationships that he will carry through his life after his high school career. Congratulations Keden Everett for receiving Athlete of the Week!
