Palisade Sophomore, Chase Edmonds, is the male Athlete of the Week brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. Edmonds runs cross country in the fall and distance track in the spring. He has been running since his freshman year. Along with his passion for running, Edmonds also enjoys playing basketball and skiing during the winter. Edmonds runs on varsity and says his favorite thing about the sport is, “the way you feel afterwards and the sense of accomplishment you get.” His favorite race this season was in Ridgeway where the Palisade boys took first place overall. When asked about his personal goal for this season, he said, “I would like to place at Regionals.” Currently, Edmonds runs a 17:31 5k, so this goal doesn’t seem far from reach. Advice Edmonds would give to any freshman looking to pursue running is: “constantly setting goals for yourself is a very important contributor to your success.” Edmonds is currently undecided about running after high school, but thinks it would be a good challenge. Congratulations Chase Edmonds on Athlete of the Week!
