As spring sports are just around the corner, girls’ golf is in the making. Come compete with fellow Palisade girls and take a full swing into spring sports. The coach this year will be none other than Ms. Norrel, a P.E teacher at Palisade High School. Girls participating will be able to compete in tournaments around Colorado to show their best skills and win trophies. Freshman Maddox Rewold is going to be a new player trying out for the golf team. “This season I have set many goals for myself including shooting in the low 70s by the end of the season,” said Rewold. “Getting the opportunity to play stroke play in different tournaments around the state. Building strong relationships with all of the girls on the team. I am hoping to get a lot out of this season, specifically large amounts of growth and confidence in my game of golf. Both physically and mentally. Most of all, I am very excited to start my first official season of high school golf and work with Ms. Norrell who is an amazing coach. I am also so excited to meet new people who share the love of golf and who can help me grow as a person and player. This golf team already means a lot to me because of my older sister who played in all of her 4 years and was always surrounded by an amazing community of people.” Like Maddox, there are a lot of people who are excited to get to play girls’ golf this season. Come out and play with this amazing team.
